I do some of my favorite sewing while recycling sweaters.
To create this garland I sampled 18 sweaters.
I started the process by drawing a loose pattern on paper. Then I cut out stockings from washed and dried sweaters. I embellished a couple of stockings before sewing them up with my sewing machine. I didn't need to use pins - which I loved because it made the process go faster. Last I used an upholstery needle to sew string them all on chunky cream yarn. I tied loops on each end and hung it up!
